Delivery and pickup policy

Where we serve

During the pilot, Mohalla Kitchen serves Hubballi, Karnataka, within about 15 km of Vidyanagar. Each kitchen also sets how far it will deliver itself (usually a few kilometres). If your address is outside a kitchen's range, you can still choose pickup where the kitchen offers it.

Pickup

The kitchen's pickup address is shared with you after your order is confirmed. Please collect at the ready time shown on your order. Pickup is free.

Delivery by the cook

• Delivery is done by the cook or someone from their household, not by a delivery company.
• The delivery fee is set by each kitchen (up to ₹50 during the pilot) and is shown before you place your order.
• Food is delivered around the ready time shown on the meal. Home kitchens cook in batches, so allow a short window around that time.
• You need to pin your delivery location on the map so the cook can find you.

The handoff code

Every order has a 4-digit code on your Orders page. Share it with the cook only when you have your food in hand. The order is marked delivered when the cook enters your code and any balance has been paid.

If something goes wrong

If your food is late, missing or not as ordered, contact the kitchen from your order page, or tell us on the Help page within 2 hours. See the cancellation and refund policy for what happens next.
